Kolonnawa, Sri Lanka is the place where the residence for a large number of services providing class to the Colombo area. I t is rapidly industrializing, but there is no rapid development of human lives along with industrialization. They do not have proper sanitary facilities education and every aspect of facilities. Even they have to face climatic hazards like floods and they are socially very fragile.

Also, the kolonnawa based eco-system and the wetlands are almost gone now. Even people have built their houses up to canal reservations and has acquired most of the wetlands. The wetland network which was to cater whole Colombo has been decreasing. So, there is a house fragility in eco system too.
